Giving up the world means gathering provision from the world for the next world. He, who honours the world, is humiliated by it. He who hoards up for the world, is thrown into wants.” A two-day intensive course going through 3 selected chapters of Imam Ghazali's The Revival of the Religions Sciences (Ihya ulum al-d?n), widely regarded as the greatest work of Muslim spirituality. This course focusing on 3 chapters on Evils of the World, Evils of Wealth and Miserliness and Poverty and Renunciation will provide excellent advices as demonstrated by Imam Ghazali(ra) in denouncing the various temptations of the world and focussing on the eternal life, the hereafter.
