Introduction to the Science of Hadith

A Course on the Famous Text:

    “Al Bayquniyyah”

The Matn al-Bayquniyyah is a timeless primer in poetry-form which is taught, and has been taught, to students for centuries. The fact that this classical ode has been graced with dozens of commentaries and annotations throughout the centuries stands as testimony to its value. Its rhyming nature, allows for easy memorization and it includes essential topics relating to hadith terminology for any student of Islam. In this seminar our guest teacher will read through the text and thoroughly explain its content. The course is introductory in nature and is designed to equip students with a familiarity with the parlance of Hadith Scholars, commonly refered to as Mustalah al-Hadith or Usul al-Hadith.

This course is ideal for any individual wanting to understand the science of hadith. No previous knowledge is required.
